Hollywood casting director Clair Sinnett has cast a widely diverse roster of new talent as well as stars like Keanu Reeves, James Earl Jones, Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Her year-round, coast-to-coast and international contact with new talent allows her to bring a fresh approach to each casting project.
Clair Sinnett holds her Acting & Audition Workshops throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe, while maintaining associations with numerous colleges and professional performing arts schools. She presents her seminars locally to organizations such as WOMEN IN FILM, WOMEN IN THEATER, SAG, AFTRA, the INTERNATIONAL MODEL & TALENT ASSOCIATION and the ACADEMY of TELEVISION ARTS & SCIENCES. She is constantly active theatrically, directing and performing, and has served as Artistic Director for THE ACTORS COMPANY, HOLLYWOOD ACTORS THEATER and REAL TO REEL.
Clair Sinnett has served on the faculty and founded the TV/Film Acting programs for the UNIVERSITY of CALIFORNIA-IRVINE, SOUTH COAST REPERTORY CONSERVATORY, NEW YORK’s PLAYWRIGHTS HORIZON THEATER SCHOOL, and the AMERICAN ACADEMY of DRAMATIC ARTS.
Clair Sinnett has directed and/or produced over a hundred theater productions and has served on numerous founding boards such as THE BLACK THEATER TROUPE, THE JANUS THEATER COMPANY and REAL to REEL. She has authored a Two Year Camera Acting Program offered at several performing arts schools, as well as, ICE CONSERVATORY OF ACTING in Charlotte, NC and the ACTING CONSERVATORY TRAINING CENTER in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Formerly a SAG agent and commercial & industrial producer, Clair Sinnett maintains professional affiliations with CSA, AEA, SAG, AFTRA, WOMEN in FILM, NATIONAL ACADEMY of TELEVISION ARTS & SCIENCES and INDEPENDENT FEATURE PRODUCTIONS-WEST. In addition, she serves on the UCLA TV/FILM HONORARY ADVISORY BOARD, BALL STATE UNIVERSITY TV/FILM ENTERTAINMENT ADVISORY BOARD, and the BARBIZON INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY BOARD.
A Theater Arts major of the UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN and NEW YORK UNIVERSITY, Sinnett is a graduate of the AMERICAN ACADEMY DRAMATIC ARTS-NEW YORK. She continued her training at THE ACTORS STUDIO, NEIGHBORHOOD PLAYHOUSE, STELLA ADLER CONSERVATORY and THE MANHARDT THEATRE CO., all in New York City. She studied film and video production at THE NEW SCHOOL OF NEW YORK and film directing with Paul Gray in Los Angeles.
Clair Sinnett worked as a commercial casting director and TV producer with major New York advertising agencies. Relocated to Phoenix, she joined the PHOENIX THEATER staff as Artist-in-Residence, later opening her own licensed acting & modeling school, REAL TO REEL. Under her direction, the company moved into casting and theatrical production. She later became a SAG franchised agent and Director of PLAZA THREE MODEL & TALENT AGENCY for the Phoenix and Tucson facilities. She continued to represent SAG talent under her own banner, CLAIR SINNETT & ASSOCIATES, INC., which was sold to L’IMAGE MODEL AND TALENT AGENCY prior to her move to Los Angeles.
While in Arizona, Clair Sinnett received an appointment from Governor Bruce Babbitt to the GOVERNOR’S MOTION PICTURE ADVISORY BOARD. She served as Vice Chairman of that board for five years and was also a founding member of the PHOENIX FILM COMMISSION.
A resident of Los Angeles, Sinnett currently casts theatrically and commercially. In addition to her ongoing talent outreach across the U.S., Canada and Europe, she has a strong background in celebrity casting.
